Robert K Wilson

Robert K Wilson was born in Ayr, Scotland.
He studied graphic design and photography, followed by a pure photography course, becoming a British Institute of Professional Photographers member.
Wilson is an award-winning advertising and fashion photographer. Over the years he has been commissioned to work for a long list of Blue Chip clients in the UK and abroad.
Working from his own custom-built studios in the centre of Edinburgh he produced commissioned photography for the leading Advertising Agencies and Design Groups.
Alongside his mainly studio-based work, assignments have taken him to Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Denmark, London, Chile and Cuba.
An edited list of his clients includes; The Drambuie Liqueur Company, Highland Distilleries, Ballantynes Cashmere, Pringle of Scotland, The Ford Motor Company, Saab, Baxters Foods, Scottish Widows, Elle Magazine Chile, Schloss Reinhartshausen Wine and Chilean Consolidada.
At the end of the nineties, Wilson spent almost three years living in Santiago de Chile shooting Campaigns for Advertising Agencies. During his time in Chile, he was presented with the ‘Advertising Photographer of the Year in Chile’ award.
The campaign was for one of Chile’s largest insurance companies Chilena Consolidada. The agency is LOWE.PORTA, Chile.
Wilson’s main passion has been creating and shooting his own personal fine art photography alongside his working schedule.
Now the balance is changing, he only accepts a small handful of commissions each year allowing more time for more personal photographic projects.
